Together Mode · Coming soon

Your shows.
Our shows.

For the series you save for each other.
And the ones you watch on your own.

01 · An invitation, not an assumption

Choose your company.

One person sends an invitation reserved for a specific verified account email. The other reviews it in CouchCheck and explicitly accepts. A partnership is for two people. No matching by name, no public profile search, no automatic access.

02 · A collection of your own

Add it once. Find it together.

A show in Our Shows belongs to the shared collection. Either person can add it, and both can see it. Nobody has to copy a private Library or add the same series twice.

03 · Keep your place, together

One shared story.

The planned shared experience connects to Calendar, Library, Up Next and Show Details. Track episodes watched together with a timestamp and who marked them. Personal watched history and favorites stay independent.

04 · Separate by design

Your taste stays yours.

Your partner can see and change Our Shows and shared progress. They don’t receive access to your entire private Library, private watch history, favorites or personal settings. A show can be a private favorite and a shared show at the same time.

When it’s ready

A few small steps.
A whole shared watchlist.

  1. Send a personal invitation.

Create an invitation in Together Mode, then share the link or code through your preferred app. CouchCheck doesn’t automatically email your partner.

  2. Review and accept in CouchCheck.

Sign into the account the invitation was reserved for. The app securely checks the invitation before allowing an explicit acceptance.

  3. Choose your first shared show.

Add to Our Shows from a show’s actions. Shared progress starts separately; existing personal history isn’t silently imported.

Together Mode is implemented locally and being prepared for hosted activation. Real invitations and the shared backend are not publicly available yet. An invitation-shaped link on this website is not proof of an active invitation.

If plans change.

You can cancel an unused invitation or leave a partnership. Leaving ends shared access for both people. Personal Libraries stay unchanged. Shared history is retained rather than silently erased; reconnecting creates a new partnership.
